This is an alpha version of what could be the first attempt at an RPG Maker made in Flash. It was featured on the front page of Newgrounds.com and received an award for over 100,000 views. I had help from three others on this project.

Over the course of 3 months I did various work for Bethel College, IN. The main focus of my work was on an interactive 3d campus map in Flash. Still used by the school today. Check it out!

Flash Music Maker

March 15th, 2005

This program is an exploration into the music making capabilities of Flash. It is an interesting way of making music, even if not the easiest. This was the precursor to Music Bounce. (Warning: There is no pre-loader for this flash)

Games

Globule

August 28th, 2008

This game earned a score of 3.71/5.00 at Newgrounds.com. Globule has a unique game mechanic where you form a chain of slime that can be moved at it's ends, but not from the center. It makes for a fun and challenging puzzle game :) There are 50 levels of increasing difficulty. Edit levels at LetsMakeAGame.com.

Paper Golf 2: EX

July 31st, 2008

This game was actually programmed by Ben Weitzman. My role was to tailor it's level-editor to work with LetsMakeAGame.com (I had to completely redo it). I also created the in-game tile graphics.

Cave Escaper

June 4th, 2008

This game was featured on the front page of Newgrounds.com and earned a score of 3.84/5.00. The object of the game is to navigate your way through 50 levels and try to escape the cave. Along the way you will find complex puzzles, bomb your way through rocks and boulders, swing from ledges, and avoid pits of lava. Edit levels at LetsMakeAGame.com.

Music Bounce

May 6th, 2008

On Newgrounds.com it earned a 4.30/5.00 (my highest score ever), a daily 2nd place, featured on the frontpage, and spent a few days in the top 50 of all time. It was also featured on Kongregate.com with achievements. The object of the game is to use bouncing balls to clear all the notes on a stage. Each level has a maximum amount of ball gates you can open. Once you're done with the game's 50 levels, go out LetsMakeAGame.com to play user-created levels and make your own.

April 27th, 2008

There are multiple versions of this game out. The first version of this game was featured on the front page of Newgrounds.com and earned a score of 3.34/5.00. A "Community Edition" of the game was released a few months later that showcased 50 new levels designed by the LetsMakeAGame.com community. The latest version of the game was ported by Finger Food Studios for the iPhone / iPod Touch.

This was my first attempt at a mobile Flash game. It was designed to be used by a simple click wheel. This version is playable online with arrow keys and space bar.

Bob the Blob 3D

May 1st, 2005

This is the first time I used actual 3D in Flash. And the effect turned out quite nice! In this game you are trying to eat the ghosts before they eat you. When submitted to Newgrounds.com, it's unique visuals and gameplay earned a 3.58/5.00, a Daily 5th Place award, and a link on the front page.

Dance Pilot

February 14th, 2005

Music has been another passion besides Flash work, and I brought both of these interests together in Dance Pilot. What resulted was an addicting game with an interactive soundtrack. This was also submitted to Newgrounds.com and earned a 3.49/5.00. All of the music in the game is created by me.

Web Sites

BrazenSoul.com

brazensoul_thumb

February 5th, 2011

A new solo album of music by yours truly. It's 11 funky chill tracks of electronic music. I created the website and integrated it with Google analytics so I could track exactly how many downloads of each track occurred.

Executive Plaza

October 30th, 2009

My father, an office building owner/manager, had a simple need: A website potential building tenants could visit to quickly find info about his building, reasons to rent there, and contact info. I created this one-page site to achieve these goals and allow for easy future customization.

Scorching Earth for iPhone - The Website

scorchingearth_site_thumb

October 22nd, 2009

A small website with a SimpleViewer picture gallery showcasing the iPhone version of my Scorching Earth game.

Rob 'n Bob - The Website

robnbob_website_thumb

August 26th, 2009

The actual website for the Rob 'n Bob Webcomic showcases my creation of a comic/blog system, complete with Atom feed. I also integrated an external forum into the site.

LetsMakeAGame.com

letsmakeagame_thumb

April 20th, 2008

My biggest independent project of 2008, one that spawned this user-created content website and five Flash games. You log into the site, edit levels for any of the games, then watch as others play, rate, and review your levels. Try to make a good enough level to get into a top 50 list! This site is still alive with a steady amount of users. And while it has been some time since the last game was made for it, anything could happen in the future.

Animations

Go Blob Dance!

goblobdance_thumb

August 14th, 2009

An animation done in my free time. I wanted to try my hand at animating cartoon characters. The main thing I learned: frame-by-frame animation is time consuming!

Like a Record

likearecord_thumb

January 21st, 2004

My first ever submission to Newgrounds.com and my first music video. The music is not by me and is copyrighted. It's main drawing point is how the animation lines up with the music so well.

Others

Rob 'n Bob - The Webcomic

robnbob_webcomic_thumb

August 26th, 2009

A brand-new webcomic starring Rob the Robot and Bob the Blob! Right now there are only 5 comics, but I might pick this up again in the future if I get more ideas.

Isometric Pixel-Art

pixelart_thumb

November 1st, 2002

My foray into pixel-art. It was for a game (sadly, never made) similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. Isometric tiles were made for city streets (along with various street objects), a building, various ground types, and water. I haven't done pixel-art for a while, and I'm proud of this early work.
